Hollywood Actress Keke Palmer has been named one of Forbes Magazine’s Most Valuable Young Stars in Hollywood ! Palmer, known widely for her roles in ‘True Jackson VP,’ ‘Tyler Perry’s Madea’s Family Reunion’ and ‘Shrink,’ was reportedly the only African American Teen actress named on the list that also featured Daniel Radcliff, Miley Cyrus, Abigail Breslin, Emma Watson, and Anton Yelchin. A recent NAACP Image Award winner (Outstanding Performance In a Youth/Children’s Program-Series or Special), Palmer recently signed on to star and produce the feature film, Oreo, a script adapted by writer Adam Davenport from a book written by author Fran Ross, with the same title. Slated for production Fall 2009/early 2010, ‘Oreo’ centers around a teen who refuses to be pushed around despite unfortunate circumstances including the divorce of her parents when she is very young. With neither parent wanting to take custody of her or her litter brother, who is an infant, Oreo takes matters into her own hands and embarks on a cross country journey to find her parents and hold them accountable for their mess. “From the very first time I read Oreo I totally loved the main character because she does not sit around crying about the problems in her life she takes action,” says Palmer. “She is angry with her parents for not taking responsibility for their children, most kids would just be quiet and suffer in silence, but no she does not bite her tongue she gives it to them straight and I just loved her spirit and over all approach to things, this is an adventure/ comedy because a lot of funny things happen to her on the road that are hilarious so that was a plus for me too. I am so happy to be a part of this project.â
