Embattled pop diva Rihanna is moving forward and according to reports over the weekend laying down songs for her anticipated third album. Originally rumored to be released this summer, Rihanna’s forthcoming project is expected to become her strongest project to date and according to Jennifer Lopez producer Adonis, will “eclipse” the smash album “Good Girl Gone Bad”. Speaking with Hip Hollywood, Adonis, who has worked on several projects including new music from Sammie and Marques Houston, says “her refuge is her music. she’s easing back into it”. Admitting to taking extreme measures with Rihanna’s studio sessions, Adonis says they’ve done everything from sneaking the “Take A Bow” singer out back doors to sending empty ‘decoy’ cars to throw off paparazzi. In studio related news, R&B singer/songwriter Keri Hilson, Ciara and Producer Polow Da Don had one of the most talked about radio sit down’s in recent months at Atlanta’s V103. Discussing Hilson’s much-scrutinized remix “Turnin’ Me Off,” in which the singer/songwriter was rumored to attack fellow singer’s Ciara and Beyonce, the trio spoke live on air, giving Atlanta listeners and eventually listeners worldwide, a glimpse into the drama behind the mic. Hilson defending her actions, said the song, which was released early last week was not intended to be released: “This is a true leak. I did fight this coming out,” Hilson said when asked why she would sing the lyrics “I shot the sherriff, but wait till I shoot this bit*ches down”. Stating Polow Da Don agreed not to release the track, Hilson said the reaction to the song was not what she wanted, more importantly it was not about Ciara. “I didn’t want it come out because we played it for people when I did it.” “The fact that they (people) brought back names was like ‘okay that’s not the reaction that we need,’ that’s not what it’s supposed to be about.” At the end of the session, which was also video taped (sincerelyciara.com), the trio seemed to part on good terms with Hilson telliing Ciara “it’s not about you” and Polow Da Don promising Ciara he’d be working on the remix to “Never Ever” (single).
