Despite a press release issued featuring the album title “James River” last month, R&B/soul singer D’Angelo’s manager says the album and a number of aforementioned collaborations are not confirmed. In a statement issued through Billboard, Lindsay Guion says “We have spoken to Prince, Mark Ronson and John Mayer’s camps, but nothing has been confirmed at this time.” Guion’s note follows a release that confirmed collaborations with both Ronson and Prince. According to Guion, Cee-Lo Green, Raphael Saadiq, Q-Tip and Roy Hargrove are still on tap for D’Angelo’s J Records release. D’Angelo’s as-yet-untitled album is slated for release this summer.
