Ashanti, Jordin Sparks, Nelly Support Jennifer Hudson

My prayers go out to her and her family, R&B singer Ashanti told MTV news reporters Monday night. In a wave of support from Barack Obama to Jordin Sparks, Jennifer Hudson, who lost not one, but three relatives over the weekend in a triple homicide, knows that a lot of people have her back. American Idol alum Jordin Sparks issued her heartfelt support via ET Monday: “Jennifer, I don’t even know what you’re going through right now, but I love you.” “I am so, so sorry, and I am praying for you and something good is going to happen through this. I know you can’t see it now, but something is going to come out of this.” Sparks’ support comes just hours after the FBI revealed that Hudson’s seven-year-old nephew’s death was ruled to be a homicide after his body was found in an abandoned SUV on Monday — three days after Hudson’s mother and brother were found shot to death in their home. According to reports issued from Chicago officials Tuesday, the 7-year-old- nephew of the Oscar-winning actress died of multiple gunshot wounds. Telling MTV news “it’s a tough thing to talk about,” Hip Hop star Nelly says “It’s like, what do you say ? You really don’t know what to say to a person when you talk about death or losing a loved one.” All anyone can do, he said is “send your blessings and positive energy.”
