Veteran R&B group Boyz II Men has decided to continue their ‘Hitsville Journey’ through 2009 by adding several North American tour dates. Since returning to the stage late last year, the iconic group has been on the road non stop performing hits from their Platinum-selling albums and their latest effort “Motown: A Journey Through Hitsville USA.” “We wanted to pay tribute to an era that had such a major influence on our sound,” says Boyz II Men member Shawn Stockman when asked about the recent effort. Adding new tour dates through May of 2009, Boyz II Men will make stops in New York City, Fayetteville, NC, Greenville, SC, Morton, MN and Detroit, MI. (see full itinerary below) Boyz II Men, which formed in Philadelphia 20 years ago, has been noted as the most commercially successful R&B male vocal group of all time, according to a press release. Between 1992 and 1997, they recorded five No. 1 pop hits, sold more than 60 million records worldwide and earned a host of honors, including four Grammy Awards.
