Kanye West has opted to re-record his new single “Love Lockdown” after fans slammed the Hip Hop star’s original version, which was was premiered at the MTV Video Music Awards. In a statement released via his blog, West said âYour prayers have been answered!! Thereâs a new version of âLove Lockdownâ coming.” “We used new taiko drums, and I re-sung it. ⦠Itâs being mastered now.” Fans and critics had slammed the “Graduation” star’s heavily auto-toned singing voice on the song, which is also the lead single for his forthcoming album, some went as far as calling the song “garbage.” Responding to critics of Auto-Tone, West said “If you donât like Auto-Tune, too bad, âcause I love it and have been using it since The College Dropout!!!” West’s new album “808s & Heartbreak” is slated to released on December 16th.
