Despite his ongoing saga with Hollywood actress Lisa Raye, Turks & Caicos Premier Michael Misick has more to worry about this week due to a recently uncovered letter. According to Carribean net news, Misick was warned by executive members of his party in late 2007 about their concerns over his leadership style and methods. In a letter dated October 18, 2007, members of the Progressive National Party (PNP) outlined their concerns over Misickâs governance of the country. The list of concerns was broad and detailed, and the members requested immediate attention and correction of the issues. Absentee leader, misuse of finances, blatant disrespect, unfair and inaccurate media releases from the Government Information Services (GIS), irresponsibility in personal decisions, double dipping from contract workers, and the lack of progress on anti-corruption legislation were some of the concerns pointed out in the letter. In an email from Sharlene Robinson, National Chairman of the opposition Peopleâs Democratic Movement (PDM), she told Caribbean Net News, âThis internal document shows that there were persons in the party recognizing the same issues that we were.â At a recent PNP convention, Stubbs was replaced as chairman by Misickâs nephew Donhue Gardiner. Stubbs is now the partyâs Public Relations Officer and, according to Robinson, continues to have run-ins with the Premier. All three new top officers are Misick’s family, says Robinson, concluding, âIt may be an old document but it shows that Misick listens to no one.â Misick and his estranged wife, Hollywood actress LisaRaye were involved in a violent fight last week after reports surfaced that the two had called it quits due to a series of allegations.
