The highly-anticipated, BET-produced “New Edition Story " now has an official air date and time. In a three-night series, the biopic will span 30 years of the group's history, including breakups, makeups, and performances.,,,
New Edition is having a great year; not only will their BET biopic air in 2017, but they will also receive a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame! And their not alone: John Legend and Ice Cube are also a few stars to receive their own stars on the sunny L.A. boulevard.
The three-part series will chronicle the rise of five boys from Boston (Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, and Ralph, and the addition of Johnny Gill later on) as the were catapulted into the stratosphere of superstardom and all the drama in between. Looks like it will be good!

Not only is New Edition’s three-night, BET mini-series in the works, but an album may accompany it! According to member Johnny Gill, there are talks within the group to make new music in conjunction with the release of the biopic, which is set for 2017.
Last year, it was announced a biopic about Boston-heralded R&B group New Edition has been greenlit by BET, now some tea may have been spilled on the cast!
The clip features Gill and his former group members Ronnie, Ralph, Ricky, and Mike and as perform their signature Temptation-esque moves and entertain some beauties.
Earlier this year, indie director Bobby Huntley created a faux film trailer for a New Edition movie he wanted to make in hopes of creating buzz and interest.
