Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Bruno Mars releases his much-anticipated third studio album, ’24k Magic,’ headed by the blockbuster first single “24k Magic.” The 9-song set, written and produced by Mars, features no musical appearances; “I want you to get me,” he told Music Choice. Halle Berry provides some support on “Calling All My Lovelies.”
“With this album, I wanted to make a movie,” Mars told Apple Music. “A real movie. I told myself, ‘We’re gonna have a screenplay and we’re gonna go to that.'”
He continued: “I said, if I can tell myself I’m shooting a movie and I need an opening to let everybody know what time it is; what’s that gonna sound and look like? It was ’24K Magic.’ That was gonna be the opening to the movie.”
Mars will support the album with the ’24K Magic World Tour,’ set to kick off with the European leg on March 28, 2017 at Antwerp, Belgium’s Sportpalais and will travel throughout Europe through June with shows set in London, Paris, Madrid, Zurich, Copenhagen, Berlin and more. The North American leg will launch on July 15 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and make stops in over 45 cities across the US and Canada before culminating with a four-night stand at The Forum in Los Angeles.
Bruno Mars has sold over 170 million singles and over 26 million albums worldwide, affirming him one of the best-selling artists of all time.
