On Friday (Feb. 26), Brian McKnight dropped his twelfth studio album Better.
Headed by the first single “Uh Oh Feeling” then the title track “Better,” the veteran crooner is back and clearly “better” than ever, creating the warm, feel-good tunes that make him a staple in an R&B lover’s musical collection.
Songs like “Just Waiting” imparts McKnight’s jazzy side and “Like I Do” can be grouped with his signature piano ballads, but he also drops some different flavors on the LP, as well. On “Goodbye” featuring Hawaiian singer Kimie Miner, he meshes a bit of her reggae sound for a cute, tropical duet. “Get You Into My Life” is one of the album’s standout tracks; on the subdued, gritty banger with L.A. rapper Glasses Malone, McKnight expresses his intent desire to get his love interest in his presence.
McKnight hasn’t lost a beat!
Better follows his 2013 album “More Than Words.” Stream “Better” below via Spotify and purchase on iTunes HERE.
