Daddy’s Little Girls is a high powered soundtrack that features some of today’s hottest R&B singers. With songs from the Houston Family (Whitney Houston, Cissy Houston & Dionne Warwick), Yolanda Adams, Anthony Hamilton, Jaheim, Musiq Soulchild & more, this soundtrack shines like everything else Tyler Perry takes on. Both previous soundtracks to Tyler Perry films have sold more than a quarter million units each.

The soundtrack opens up with the piano driven "Struggle No More [Main Event]," a powerful song which features soul R&B male vocalists Anthony Hamilton, Jaheim and Musiq Soulchild. "Struggle No More," is also featured on the soundtrack with Anthony performing solo. “Family First,” the highly anticipated song from Whitney Houston and family also made a huge mark on this soundtrack. This is also the first song from Whitney in several years now. Another song that really stood out was “Greatest Gift” from Tamika Scott, the former X-Scape multi-platinum selling songstress. “Greatest Gift” is a beautiful song that shows exceptional vocal range and musical character.

Other Notables from this soundtrack includes R. Kelly’s “Don’t Let Go,” which is telling a girl that he loves her and she shouldn’t go, Beyonce’s “Daddy,” which is about the love she has for her father and unborn child and Yolanda Adam’s “Step Aside.” The 11-track disc also features Governor, Charles Moore, Brian McKnight, and Adrian Hood.

Daddy’s Little Girls is a soundtrack for true R&B fans. This is not a CD to shake your tail-feather to (due to the limited about of hip hop driven beats), but if you’re in a relaxing mood, this CD is one to call on.
