Britney shatters Billboard records, T.I. is on top again, Jennifer Hudson gets more spotlight and Robin Thicke moves more of 'Something Else' on this week's charts.
Britney Spears has come back with a vengeance. The pop-star's new single "Womanizer" jumped from 96-1 making it her biggest jump since 1999s "..Baby One More Time."
"Womanizer," which is the lead single from Britney's forthcoming album "Circus," also breaks the record for the biggest jump, replacing T.I. and Rihanna who broke records earlier this year.
Spears' single is spurred by first-week download sales of 286,000, the
biggest opening-week tally by a female artist since Nielsen SoundScan
began tracking digital downloads in 2003, besting Mariah Carey's take
for "Touch My Body" by just over 200 units.
Elsewhere on the charts, T.I. remains 'King' of the Billboard 200 with his latest album "Paper Trail." The set sold 176, 700 copies this week, pushing its total sales to 746,000 copies.
Right behind T.I., Jennifer Hudson moved another 61, 207 copies of her self titled debut featuring the hit single "Spotlight" followed by Ne-Yo's "Year of the Gentleman" which moved 47, 166 copies.
Finally...there is some justice in the world for all the crappy songs that have been number one lately...a good pop song is what was needed....Congrats Brit...hope your star continues to shine

With Britney, having the new #1 song this week, I am hoping Sony backs their breadwinner Beyonce, with an allout campaign to promote her new CD in the mist of heavy competition. People have been speculating that once Britney finally got her act together, that she would be fully embraced whenever she returned. Hang in their my R&B sisters, Ciara, Brandy, Rhianna and Beyonce.
