R&B Singer Joe Clears Up R. Kelly Interview, 'I Would Never Try To Stop Him From Getting His'

R&B crooner Joe (aka Joe Thomas) has cleared up the reasoning behind his decision to come forward about the much-hyped 'R. Kelly' record situation as reported last month.
"I would never try to stop him from getting his" says the singer who has been called 'the Casanova Crooner' in recent years.
In August Joe discussed his departure from Jive, also home to R. Kelly, and surprisingly told EURweb.com that Kelly had attempted to hold back his music, going as far as telling radio stations "Hey, this Joe record is too hot right now. Ya’ll need to pull that back.' And they would oblige."
Acknowledging the past while moving forward with his new album "Joe Thomas, New Man," the "Why Just Be Friends" singer received backlash from music fans and critics shortly after the news who asked why he chose to air out his grievances after so many years.
In a recent interview with Singersroom, Joe said it was not difficult to come forward with the information but says he is not trying to come across as a disgruntled artist.
"To be clear, I’m definitely not trying to sound like a disgruntled
artist."
"My whole point was that we all are in this game so I’m not
trying to step over your fence and vice-versa, so let’s just stop, do
what we gotta do and be respectful to each other when it comes to
trying to get it happening.”
On the road promoting "Joe Thomas, New Man," the R&B singer admitted to enjoying his fans on the road more than anything, calling the experience of performing live "something else" because of the sincerity and emotion displayed at his concerts.
Hey, Joe I truly belive that R.Kelly has been sabotaging your radio air play since you have been with Jive Records, and I pray you get all the much deserve awards in the near future. You make wonderful music,By the way I Absoulutely Love your new album.

I love Joe much more than I love any other R&B artist out right now. I went to see him last night, he was performing in Coventry, UK. He is so sincere much more than R. Kelly would ever be. If you reading this Joe, please continue making music that make women all over the world feel wanted and loved. If R. Kelly was to come to the UK, I wouldn't go to see him, he's just not my cup of tea.

Who the h@** R. Kelly think he is?!! He does that kind of crap to everybody. He did it to Ne-Yo and he did it to Jay-Z. if he feels like your act is upstaging him, he pulls a hater move. CRY BABY, GROW UP!!! And honey's JOE IS THA FUNK!! Kelly know it that's why he tried to stop that man flow. KEEP IT REAL. DUUUUVAAAALLL

I commend Joe for discussing the situation. He's not the only artist held back by other artists, he's staying true to self!!

I have heard some of the tracks from Joe's New Album and I have heard most of R. Kelly's new album. Joe is an original r&b singer. R. Kelly is using auto-tunes too much. I will be getting Joe's new cd. The real R&B.

You guys are really hating. Just because you don't like Joe doesn't mean his albums flop. If his albums flopped he wouldn't have lasted on a record label putting out records for fifteen years. If you really love R&B you should at least respect that.
Why does everybody click on a link, read a story about an artist they don't like and then hate???? Why not just ignore the story if you're so uninterested in Joe.

There are indeed many ways to market a not-so-successful album! Well done, Joe!

WHO CARES! Why does "Joe Thomas" feel the need to explain himself repeatedly? He is starting to sound like the "Disgruntle Artist"!
