Wendy Williams will become a regular on the small screen next year according to recent reports that the popular radio ‘shock jock’ has been picked up by FOX for a mid-2009 start.
Williams, known widely as a ‘New York Times’ best-selling author and radio host of ‘The Wendy Williams Experience’ on WBLS in New York had been running a six week preview in select markets over the past few weeks. The official launch follows a series of much-talked-about shows including a jaw dropping exchange between the host and guest Omarosa (of ‘The Apprentice’ fame) in addition to recent interviews with Aubrey O’Day of Danity Kane, Michelle Williams and Kim Kardashian.
"Doing the daily show for the past six weeks has really been one of the most exciting times in my life," she said "It has given me the chance to be myself while living out my dream and connecting with my fans on a whole new level."
The show, distributed by Debmar-Mercury, will end its preview run Friday. “The Wendy Williams Show” will be distributed nationwide including FOX’s top 10 markets such as New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Washington, D.C. and Houston, as well as Minneapolis, Phoenix and Orlando.
Wendy is a fabulous, jazzy, personal host and it is exciting to watch this show. Since I work in the day time I set my alarm clock to watch her show at 12:30am. I recently moved from California to Dallas and called all my friends, emailed them talking about the Wendy show. Everyone one I emailed and talked to said they want to get more information on her and excited. I will be moving back to California next year and want to get on her showlaudience. I love her hair, clothes, and the set is right on! Wendy....How are you doing. I even emailed my son about the Wendy Show and he saw WoW, she is sexy. It's all good. Congraduations on the show going Nationwide....I cant wait to see more of this Wendy Show. Send me and my son some tickets for the show. Email me at s1jth4@hotamail.com
