Rumors of a parting of ways with Bad Boy have been plaguing R&B group B5 for a few weeks, according to the groups management the rumors just might be true.
B5, accurately named after the group consisting of five brothers Dustin, Kelly, Bryan, Carnell, and Patrick Breeding, hence “Breeding 5,” signed with Diddy just over six years ago. Although the burgeoning group had a successful run with tours such as the 2005 leg of the Scream Tour, endorsements and two albums, their singles failed to reach crossover/mainstream success.
B5's latest album, 2007's “Don’t Talk, Just Listen” spawned two singles including a collaboration with Bow Wow on “Hydrolics.” The album itself, failed to move on the charts despite the success of “Hydrolics,” only pushing 19,000 copies in it’s first week.
Fast forward to today... After weeks of rumors swirling about the groups next album B5's management team, Jamm Entertainment, released a statement which reads “It is not a rumor, B5 has left Bad Boy Records after 6 ˝ years. After several conversations, Diddy and Exec’s of Atlantic and Warner Music, reluctantly released B5 to continue their career elsewhere. We want to thank Diddy, Harve, Kevin Lyles, Craig Kallman, Julie G, Eric Wong and all the staff for their belief and support with B5 through the years.”
Although there has been no confirmation from Bad Boy at this time, the group has been removed from the label’s website and Myspace network of artists that includes Danity Kane and Day 26.
According to the recent release, B5 is currently in the studio working on their third album.
B5's Dustin, Kelly and Patrick Breeding are also set to join Angie Stone and R&B singer/actor Mishon in the upcoming Warner Bros. film “Nicetown.”
Stay tuned to Singersroom for future updates on B5.

I think that B5 did not get enough promotion and publicity, so I'm kind of glad they left. Hopefully they find another great label that's just as hot as Bad Boy but promotes them. Danity Kane and Day 26 took the spotlight and shifted the focus from B5 to them. I hope they find a better label and keep giving their fans great music ( just like on the first two cds)!

im actually glad that they are leaving bad boy. I mean in the beginning they were doing great but for diddy to put the release of there second cd "Don't Talk, Just Listen" at the same time of the big "Kanye vs. 50" scandel wasn't a good move. but hopefully they find a better label that will promote them to the fullest and will be able to show their full potential. best wishes for B5!

I'm glad they left.
B5 is an amazing group. Very talented boys.
They been with bad Boy way longer than Danity Kane and Day26. And b5 got half the promotion they got.
They deserve better , hopefully they find a great label that will give them that.
in my opinion, with promotion i bet they will blow up & be very sucessful.
Their 3rd album is suppose to have a new sound to it, so i'm looking forward to that.

in my opinion i'm glad they left Bad Boy because it's true they DID N0T have any type of promotion for the second album(which i thought wass tha B0MB) and i agree w/ Trinsta they didnt have as much promotion as Day 26 and DK had they hadd that much promotion that 2nd album woulda sold more than itt did :(

B5 wants to be independent. in a video i saw, they have a studio in their room, and thats where they are working on their new album. i think its really good that they left Bad Boy because Diddy didnt really promote them like he did Danity Kane and Day26. B5 said that their new album was gonna have a different sound and the fans would love it! :)

Awww...and I was just starting to like B5. Their second album, Don't talk, Just Listen was awesome! I don't know why people didn't get into it, plus one flaw I see in them not selling well is that Diddy or whoever is resondsible for promoting them didn't do a great job at all. B5 should have been promoted well. My nicece said that she didn't here that much about B5, cause her friends(She is in to that alternitive music, which is cool.) would have bought the heck out of the cd; they loove that kind of music. Maybe its a good thing B5 are leaving Diddy's company, so they can get more regconized.
