R&B singer RIHANNA, who gave a stellar performance at Gucci's UNICEF fundraiser during New York Fashion Week in February, is building on her relationship with the fashion label by starring in the label's first ad campaign for the children's charity.
The 20-year-old Barbados native, who was sought after by Gucci's creative director, Frida Giannini, will appear in ads for the ‘Tattoo Heart’ campaign, Gucci’s UNICEF campaign which will see special limited edition products sold.
"When we decided to dedicate a full ad campaign, more than just creating products, to really come out and show our commitment to UNICEF, I felt a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign," Giannini said.
For Rihanna, who has long been a fan of Gucci as a brand and already has her own children's charity, The Believe Foundation, says of the collaboration: "It's an honor to represent Gucci."
The campaign, "Tattoo Heart", will be out in December
Rihanna is no stranger to charity work, having set up her own charity in 2006 called The Believe Foundation.
In addition, the singer is planning on launching her own clothing collection.

Oh goodness, I am so sick of this girl. She is not pretty, if it was not for the song Umbrella with JAY-Z she would still be meaningless. It is amazing what a song and a haircut can do for you. Gucci needs to go after Ciara if they want a real beauty. Now all of sudden Rihanna is planning to launch a clothing line, after we heard Ciara got a modeling contract and launching a clothing line. WHAT A COPYCAT, first it was Beyonce, now it is Ciara.
