Usher’s new album “Here I Stand” is on track to top the Billboard chart’s next week. According to Nielsen Soundscan’s Building Chart, the “Love In This Club” singer sold nearly 146, 000 copies of the album which hit stores on Tuesday.
Backed by a promotional campaign similar to Mariah Carey’s “E=MC2" which included stops on “The Ellen Degeneres Show,” “Saturday Night Live,” the “Dancing With The Stars” season finale, and multiple appearances on BET and MTV throughout the week the star is expected to finish the week at around 375,000 copies.
But don’t count Usher out, the singer may surprise analysts as he did in 2004 when “Confessions” debuted with 1.1 million copies sold. The 2004 hit album went on to sell 9.54 million copies in the U.S., Usher's "Confessions" is the 21st best-selling album of the Nielsen SoundScan era, which began in 1991 according to Billboard.
It's the second biggest seller among male solo singers, behind only country singer Garth Brooks' "Ropin' the Wind," which has shifted 9.6 million in 1991.

Im not suprised his 1st week sales r lo. His lost alot of fans bc os tameks, so theyre now d/l the cd illegally.
Then he tried 2 shut down his fansite usherforever.com
not 2 mention the songs. 'LITC' was lucky #1, it ot there bc of d/l not bc of airplay like teh GREAT songs fro "confessions, 8701, my way"
2nd song 'MoveMtns' isnt great. The music video is very boring, just CGI.
