If you thought something was a little off when Oprah Winfrey interviewed Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina you were right.
According to Oprah Winfrey, the interview “almost didn’t happen” because Bobbi Kristina couldn’t be found.
“I was on the plane leaving New York… the producer says we can’t find Bobbi Kristina… and we don’t know if she’s going to do an interview. And I said, ‘By the time I land I’m hoping you would have found her,” Winfrey said for the first time Wednesday.
As seen on Oprah’s Next Chapter, Bobbi Kristina did eventually turn up at the Houston family home in Georgia. But, they stood only because Bobbi Kristina was not open to sitting down with her.
“When I saw her, the reason I didn’t sit down [with Bobbi Kristina] is because I was told that she didn’t really want to sit down,” Winfrey shared with Extra. “So I just used that moment.”
Winfrey’s interview with Bobbi Kristina drew 3.5 million viewers, setting a record for the OWN network and the series ‘Oprah’s Next Chapter’.
