Whitney Houston is still fighting to get back to solid career standings and a recent personal move may help guide her in that direction. According to TMZ, the legendary R&B singer has checked herself into an out-patient rehabilitation program but this time, not for drugs or alcohol.
A source tells the site that Houston “enrolled in the program around 10 days ago” but insist “it’s not drug or alcohol related.” In contrary, Houston is said to be preparing for her role in the sequel to her 1995 hit film ‘Waiting to Exhale.’
Because the program is out-patient, Houston is free to be in public. Over the weekend, she was filmed performing with music great Chaka Khan at a Prince concert at LA’s Forum.
As far as Waiting to Exhale goes, cast member Angela Basset recently confirmed the full returning cast (Whitney Houston, Loretta Devine, Lela Rochon and Bassett) on CBS’ The Talk today (See video).
Let’s pray for Ms. Houston!
