After attending the arraignment of the man allegedly responsible for Michael Jackson’s death, family members, including his mother, Katherine, are outraged. “He’s a monster,” Katherine Jackson reportedly told press shortly after the arraignment, which resulted in Dr. Conrad Murray pleading not guilty to involuntary manslaughter charges. After a several month investigation, the family believes the charge is a slap on the wrist, landing Murray a maximum of four years in prison. “This charge is a slap on the wrist,” Brian Oxman, the family attorney later said. “There’s great disappointment here. [Conrad Murray] should’ve been charged with a higher degree of responsibility. What he did was reckless. It was a disregard for human life.” LaToya Jackson, the late entertainer’s sister, also speaking out Monday, told press Murray was not the only one and was part of a larger plan. “Michael was murdered and although he died at the hands of Dr. Conrad Murray, I believe Dr. Murray was a part of a much larger plan,” said Jackson. “There are other individuals involved and I will not rest and I will continue to fight until all of the proper individuals are brought forth and justice is served.” Jermaine Jackson, Michael’s brother, also spoke out, telling Entertainment Tonight “It’s tough for her(his mother, Katherine). I mean, it hurts. It hurts every day.” Murray is free on $75,000 bail with an April 5, 2010 court date set.
