Backing up words from recent collaborator Justin Timberlake, Rihanna says she's grown since her last album 'Good Girl Gone Bad" and the attack that resulted in Chris Brown pleading guilty to felony assault.
"I have grown up
a lot since my last album. It [represents] exactly where I am at right now," says Rihanna.
But it's not just about personal growth. Rihanna says people forget that she is after all, just as human as the next person -- something she attributes to public fascination when things went wrong and a decision to write what she has felt over the last few months in the music.
"Before, there was an innocence to me. It was a perfect image. So the
minute I did something imperfect, it was a big deal," Rihanna tells Glamour Magazine. "People forget that after we get to our hotel
rooms at night, we take a shower, we watch TV, eat room service and do
normal things. Behind it all, we are still human beings.... "I put everything I’ve wanted to say for the past eight months into my music. The songs are really personal."
Rihanna's forthcoming album, "Rated R," featuring the single "Russian Roulette" is due in stores November 23 via Def Jam.

people who will never buy rihannas music is always the ones who finds the most things to complain about . they are the ones that will download, and steal her music anyway people are culded straight into negative remarks and comments . where rihanna is concerned people are always full of shyt and they are the ones who questions every thing that she does know this rihanna is back wiser, sharper, and better than she was before. her voice has evovled and shes back on her grind and if i dinn't like her i would not fing her message board for lame azz statements like questioning what she is saying and what she is doing hey its not your business no way remember you don't like rihanna remember...
it really does not matter what people think are say about rihanna, we are just glad that after going through what she has gone through , she is still standing. and why do people try so hard to figure out what rihanna did and how she did it. she knows what don't kill you will make her stronger.people with all of there great ideas and how they would have did it , its her life and she is living it and she is doing it her dam way so stfu....rihanna has written on a lot of her music and its not a debate for are with me because i don't give a care all i want to do is hear her new music and i do not care who wrote it, hell the road runner could have written her music if he had wanted too i love the fact that shes back doing what she loves........
"How these songs personal when u didnt even write any of them? " SO TRU lol - I ain't hating but I don't get it when certain artists say that....doesn't make sense...
I WONDER IF RIHANNA IS GONNA STAY DARK I MISS HER R&B SHIT
how these songs personal when u didnt even write any of them
nor did u do like beyonce
place a harmony in the song and then claim publishing rights which is still stealing and taking advantage of other people's creativity which they will do just to be known or to make that quick money
but anyway back to riri
i still feel like she is letting people control her
its okay to have a voice or keep things private after what happened but all this speaking up seems like an album stunt to me and its too obvious
i still feel that letting your producers and songwriters dictate or write everything for you is still not telling your side of the story
im not talking about what happened with her and chris but how she truly feels about the whole ordeal and aftermath of the situation
