The Los Angeles Police Department is close to presenting its case against embattled Dr. Conrad Murray.
Sources say Murray, who still remains the sole target of the ongoing investigation into late entertainer Michael Jackson's death, could be facing charges or a Grand Jury as early as next week.
While it is unknown if other doctors will be charged in relation to Jackson's usage of drugs including Propofol at a later date, sources believe all evidence has been compiled with the final decision weighing on the L.A. County D.A.'s office.
"They were waiting on some written evaluations by medical professionals who reviewed the evidence surrounding Michael Jackson's death. Our law enforcement sources say the medical reports are in and the LAPD plans to formally present the case to the D.A. next week," reports TMZ.
News of the investigation coming to a close comes just weeks before the premiere of 'This Is It'. Arriving in theaters October 28, the film documents rehearsals and plans for what would have been a 50 concert set at London's O2 Arena, beginning in July. Jackson died just days before the shows were to kick off.

I wish the police had gotten involved sooner, Micheal might still be alive if they were. He was scared of death so he did not commit suicide at all. REST IN PEACE MJ
I am OUTRAGED that this so-called medical professional administered this drug to Michael in his home just so he could sleep! And this on top of the cocktail of drugs he gave him leading up to the 'deathly drip' that killed him... insanity! It's totally irresponsible and unacceptable and this man must be PUNISHED to the fullest extent of the law. And Michael should NEVER have been left alone while the drug was administered, not for a few seconds let alone the few minutes this doctor said he left the room. We want justice yes, but sadly for MJs family, if Murray is charged, there will be so much muck-raking and mud-slinging against poor MJ by Murray's defense team to try to win the case, the press will have a field day, and poor Michael cannot defend himself against all the lies and bulls***. Breaks my heart just thinking about it - this gentle man does NOT deserve any more crap written, reported, or said about him. Such a tragedy, RIP Michael - the world loves and grieves for you.
