Contrary to reports issued earlier this week, Michael Jackson's family will not hold a public viewing at the King of Pop's famed Neverland Ranch.
In a statement issued Wednesday, the family writes:
"Contrary to previous news reports, the Jackson family is officially stating that there will be no public or private viewing at Neverland. Plans are underway regarding a public memorial for Michael Jackson, and we will announce those plans shortly."
In related news, the family met with both the California Highway Patrol and Los Angeles Police Department to discuss plans for the King of Pop's memorial service. At press time the official memorial plans had not been revealed.
Jackson died after cardiac arrest complications last Thursday, June 25. He was 50.
