Recording artists and other entertainers previously confirmed for Sunday's BET Awards, including Jamie Foxx, are reportedly working on Michael Jackson related tributes.
In a release issued Friday, BET Awards executive producer Stephen Hill confirmed that there would indeed be a tribute and a number changes to the show.
"This will be a show heavy on Michael Jackson's memory. I think what you're going to find is that acceptance speeches for awards will have nothing to do about the artists themselves, but about the influence that Michael Jackson had on them," said Hill.
In addition to speeches and presentations, Hill says several artists have approached the network, asking how they could help with a tribute.
As previously announced, the BET Awards 09' are set to place Sunday, June 28 Live! from Los Angeles Shrine Auditiorium.

i agree dania what do michael jackson got to do with chris brown f*** chris brown
i think you all are wrong because it doesnt matter how michael jackson look but he had and still do have talent so dont believe what the tabloids say so I LOVE YOU MICHAEL JACKSON
If we continuously reflect on the past there would be no tribute to Michael Jackson. Chris Brown has went to court, pleaded guilty, and been sentenced for his crime as a lot of others have. But for some we continue to focus on their trials.
I just hope BET doesn't rush this and make it look like an embarrassment opposed to a tribute because I know we are into the now but to truly honor Michael Jackson we would have to pull out some of the real singers, "OLD SKOOL" and the Whitney Houstons and Celine Dion's. But I know there will be something done in reflection of his musical attributes, a show dedicated to only him with true talent.
I do like Chris Brown (CB) but lets gain some perspective. CB only impersonates Michael Jackson slightly better than Justin / Neyo - but thats it. Chris Brown lacks the grace, vulnerability, fluidity, individualism, conditioning, lines and magic. In Mjs Rock With you Video - MJ just stands there and sings - no dance routines, swagger or dancers. CB relies on energetic dance routines and hip hop posturing - theres no quiet intensity or emotion. Further, Chris Brown neither looks or sounds like MJ. MJ is of a different world + era when performers were honest. Lookswise, CB resembles a younger cheesier Devante (Jodeci); whereas MJ even pre-surgery had that iconic, unearthly quality and familiar killer smile that transcended language, race, gender, generations and musical genres. MJ had Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Peterpan, Superman with both James Brown cool & Fonz's + John Travoltas continential take on cool. MJ's successor does not exist and may never be. ... Ask Janet.
agree.. yes he made big mistake in february, but he is the person who can do it really good.. he know michael steps, and michael was important in his career
I feel bet should have Chris Brown perform in honor of Michael
