R&B star Chris Brown will now have a record. The âRun Itâ singer, who faced felony assault and making criminal threats charges for beating his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, plead guilty after copping a plea deal. Brown, who will not see any jail time, will spend six months (180 days) doing manual labor in his hometown of Virginia (8 hours a day — 1440 hours total). He was also ordered to stay 50 yards clear of Rihanna or 10 yards if they are attending the same event. In addition, Brown will receive 5 years of supervised probation for the felony assault and he must enroll in a domestic violence counseling program. According to TMZ, The judge said she wanted to make sure Brown “was treated as any other person who comes through this court.” If Brown violates probation, he could get up to 4 years in prison.
