A concert promoter involved in the controversial Toni Braxton impersonator case has come forward with an admission of guilt.
Angel Ventura, the man responsible for promoting a concert that landed Toni Braxton impersonator Trina Johnson-Finn behind bars, has reportedly told a judge that he tried to pass the singer off as Braxton.
As previously reported on Singersroom, Johnson-Finn was booed off stage at a show earlier this year and was later placed in jail on fraud related allegations.
This week, Ventura's (promoter) lawyer told a Suriname judge that people were charged $53 to see Braxton.
While Ventura has admitted to promoting the event as a "Toni Braxton Concert," Suriname officials are still holding Trina Johnson-Finn behind bars.
At press time, Johnson Finn maintained she had no idea that she was advertised as the real Toni Braxton.
