Another court case, an extra legal woe and another headline -- R. Kelly officially ended his 11 year marriage Thursday.
According to a statement from their lawyers, the R&B star, who was acquitted of child pornography charges in June, and his wife Andrea Lee Kelly will have joint custody of their three children.
While no other details were provided, the Kelly's were reportedly trying to patch things up after Andrea filed an emergency protective order against the "I'm A Flirt" singer in 2005 and after the original divorce filing took place in 2006.
Kelly, 42, and Andrea, 35, have three children together.
Kelly married Andrea, who had auditioned as a backup dancer for him two years prior, in 1996. She went on to choreograph sets for his tours and videos.

I'm surprised his wife just she just got their divorce. She is going to be so paid she got those kids I wonder how much money she will be getting. He never really talked about them he acknowledged his children on his cd's
What!? Kelis was married, or knew he had children? I never knew that! Wow, hope they all will be ok especially the children.
With all his rapper and rival public beefing, Sparkle revenging, decade-long child porngraphy case, brother blackmailing, Daniels family mistrusting, delayed new album and now this personal issue,.......you wonder what '09 will be like for Rkelly! You would have thought that he would have talked about his "loving wife & children" in all the interviews he had in the past when promoting his new records to make him at least look like a "family man!; good or bad!" The irony of his troubles is that is a great songwriter! His publicist and management must catch hell! It's suprising that he got along well with Usher because it is apparently noticable that he is hard to get along with ..and with mentor Ron Isley imprisoned, we wonder who is telling him that he needs prayer! Hmmm, his lawyers and label execs; I think not! Clubs in African-American communites still crowd to the dancefloor, when "Step in the Name of Love" is played and like tanay below said"Let's groove while he's still here!"
He's going straight to hell with gasoline draws on...but wihle he's here...let's step in the name of love! lol
