Born and raised in New York City, Bridget Kelly lives in the epicenter of Fashion, Theater and Art, but Music is where she found her home. Growing up in a house hold where Motown, Jazz and Pop were played sparked Bridget’s love affair with music at a very early age. “When I was about 3 yrs old, I used to watch movies with my parents, and The Sound of Music was the first time I came across music. I remember the Xmas following that, I got up on a chair and sang Xmas carols at the top of my lungs” she recalls. LaGuardia High School was also a major influence in her decision to pursue a career in music. “LaGuardia was an experience!! It was an art school, so I was constantly surrounded by creative people like myself. It broadened my perspective tremendously. I grew to appreciate every other art form, including my own. I was given the opportunity to write songs, and perform them for my peers. That experience swayed me completely.” The competitive nature of LaGuardia also served as a catalyst for BK (as she is fondly referred as) to push harder to follow her dreams. While hours of singing Whitney, Mariah and Pink tunes in the mirror may have contributed to BK’s ‘vocal swagger’-her resilient spirit, sheer drive and self motivation are what set her a step above the rest. In 2006 Bridget was introduced to her Management Team (Blak Book Mgmt) through a mutual friend, the fit was instantly compatible .“I found a team that’s more than business partners. We’re a family, so the trust, understanding and love we have for each other is immeasurable”. When asked what she would most like to accomplish as an artist, the 21 year budding star confidently states “I hope to touch someone's life through my writing or my voice, even if it’s just one person. I’ve always found music to be the most effective means for people to relate to one another, so if what I write/sing about is relatable to people, I’ll be successful.” BK is currently working with on new material with a vastly creative group of producers and musicians for her independent release.
