Born in Birmingham, England of an English father and Barbadian mother, 23-year-old Kismet Brown has been singing and dancing at community talent shows and local events from the age of three. Having studied violin and guitar in elementary school, she went on to study contemporary dance at the prestigious Italia Conti Stage School in London whose many world famous alumni include the supermodel Naomi Campbell. Her first foray into the world of music was at the age of 16 while still at stage school. As the lead singer of a teen girl group, she which was offered a major recording deal by Warner Bros records. However, unable to agree on the merits of the deal, the girls turned it down, and split up shortly thereafter due to internal differences. Determined not to be put off her dream, Kismet hooked up with a production team to write and record lead vocals for the song "Get off it". The Song was featured on the soundtrack and in a main scene of the teen flick "Get over it" starring Sisqo, and Kirsten Dunst. Kismet began the strong focus on her solo recording career when a mutual DJ friend introduced Kismet to up and coming songwriter/ producer, Rumpel whose credits include R&B flavored work with Laface/Arista recording artist Pink. Immediately they both set to work crafting the direction and sound of Kismet's debut album. The album titled "All in me", features writing and production by Rumpel, with various co-writing credits from Kismet Brown. The teamwork hits it's heights on the beautifully co-written mid tempo groove "Over You" which features a special guest performance from Jim Jones of the Diplomats, and the exquisite duet ballad "If I", which features the vocals of both Kismet Brown and Rumpel. “Over you” will be available at all key digital stores as from November 19th 2007 The Album "All in me" which features performances from guests, Jim Jones and platinum selling rap act UNLV, will be out in February 2008.
