Long before her more recent performances opening for Ciara, and many other acts, singer/songwriter Jannine V has been making her name known to national and international audiences.
Known simply as "JV" to many, it was her remix to 50 Cent's "P.I.M.P" that gained rotation onto New York's Hot97 Funkmaster Flex & Fatman Scoop shows back in 2004. Performing as the opening act for the rapper Ludacris in 2004, Jannine V has gone on to hit the stage alongside Kid Capri in Cancun, Mexico and singer Mario in Chicago, Illinois.
As one of the first and only singers to release a series of mixtapes headlined by some of hip-hop's heavyweights - Jannine V's mixtape hosts include DJ Green Lantern, Big Mike, DJ Absolut, and two-time Grammy winner Fatman Scoop.
Dubbed "The Girl Behind Your Favorite Song" by MegaTone Weekly in 2006, JV has written songs for some of your favorite singers, groups & hiphop stars, including the legendary Madonna.
