Rap legend Kurtis Blow isn’t pleased with his portrayal in the New Edition mini-series.
In one scene, the rapper is mean to the members of the group, who were very young at the time. He refused to open for the group or sign autographs for them. He then insults their suit and bow tie attire, shading them by telling them that they look like they could be in the Nation of Islam.
“Word of the day is – Alternative facts by New Edition!!!” the rapper tweeted. “Never said it – totally untrue and I love the Nation of Islam,” he said in another tweet.
Members of New Edition or the film’s producers have yet to respond.
