The music world has lost a great talent.
Sharon Jones of Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings passed away on Friday (Nov. 18) at the age of 60 after a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer. According to her website, she passed away surrounded by including her family and her band, the Dap-Kings.
Her manager Alex Kadvan said she passed away Friday night in Cooperstown, New York.
Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings were known for their authentic funk-soul sound. In 2014, she was nominated for a Grammy for the album Give the People What They Want.
