Cue Zoey Dollaz’s “Blow A Check”
We previously reported that Mary J. Blige’s estranged husband Martin “Kendu” Issacs is demanding spousal support in their divorce proceedings.
Now, according to TMZ, Issacs is asking for $129,319 a month to maintain the “lifestyle” he has become accustomed to over the couple’s 12 years of marriage.
Issacs claims he has no income after being fired by Blige and that she’s bringing in all the bread, citing her “King and Queen of Hearts Tour” and upcoming album. He adds that Mary earned anywhere from $1.5 to $5.1 million over the last 2 years.
Isaacs also maintains that their prenup is bogus because he signed it without a lawyer. He believes Mary knows it’s bogus because she already cut him two checks totaling $85,000.
Many people will side eye a man when he files for spousal support, but the breadwinner in the relationship usually has to pay the piper.
