Fly girl Mila J is back with another EP today (June 17) called 213, an area code in Los Angeles, her hometown. The six-track set is headed by the summertime anthem “Kickin Back” (which goes to radio today) and features a remake of Sade’s “The Sweetest Taboo” (which was on her 2015 Covergirl mixtape).
“Kickin Back” embodies it’s chill title, and for the most part, so does the entire six-track set.
Earlier this year, Mila was featured on Timbaland’s “Don’t Get No Betta” and in the accompanying video. She is the spokesperson for the current Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey/BET campaign, and on Saturday, June 25, Mila will host BET’s “106 & Park,” where she will premiere the official video for “Kickin’ Back.”
