As the world reels from the shock of Prince’s passing yesterday (April 21), questions prevail and answers are in demand.
While the cause of death is still unknown, sources tell TMZ that the singer was treated for a drug overdose just six days before his untimely demise.
Sources say that on Friday (Apr. 15) when it was reported he was hospitalized and treated for the flu after his private jet made an emergency landing in Moline, Ill, he was actually given a “save shot” to counteract the effects of an opiate. He was allegedly advised by doctors to stay in their care for 24 hours, but his crew wanted a private room for the singer, and the hospital did not meet their demands. So, according to the courses, they left three hours later against doctor’s orders and flew to his Minneapolis home, and he was “not doing well.”
Sources also tell TMZ the multi-talented singer was spotted the night before his passing leaving a Walgreens, which he frequented often, but this time, he seemed nervous and skinnier than usual.
This speculation comes as a shock because it was reported in the past how health-conscious Prince was, that he was even a vegan. Surely more info will surface in coming weeks.
