Yesterday, rising singer Kehlani Parrish was the subject of online gossip about whether or not she cheated on her boyfriend, NBA PG Kyrie Irving with her ex, singer/rapper PartyNextDoor (PND, born Jahron Anthony Brathwaite).
Following the rumors, the 20-year-old Bay Area-bred singer posted a picture of her in a hospital bed with an IV in her arm after trying to commit suicide, saying the rumors were a result of a huge misunderstanding. She wrote:
“I wanted to leave this Earth. Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point. But don’t believe the blogs you read and for that…I must be grateful. Cuz I’m not in Heaven right now for a reason. On that note, bye Instagram,” she wrote before deleting her account. “No one was cheated on and I’m not a bad person. Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding,” she wrote.
She also wrote what her and Irving was broken up before she got back with her ex PND. “I am severely utterly in love with my first love. Went thru a bad breakup and ended up easing into a relationship with a man who was one of my bestfriends [Irving]. Tho we realized we both weren’t exactly at a time where we were prepared to do so,” she proclaimed. “But as of today, I had no wish to see tomorrow. But God saved me for a reason.”
She also posted a picture of a distraught PND as he slumped next to her bedside with the caption “thank you for saving my life.”
Shortly after the posts, Kehlani deactivated both her Instagram and Twitter accounts. Celebs like Keyshia Cole tweeted her support: “I support u Kehlani!! Love is love!” she tweeted.
