‘Tis the season for Grammy-winning producer Timbaland to gift fans with new music on Christmas day!
The producer has announced he’s preparing to drop a new 16-track mixtape, King Stays King, on December 25th. The multi-talented musician teamed up with music's newest acts, Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan, Mila J, Blaze and more to create his first major project since his success as the executive music producer for FOX's television series, “Empire.”
King captures the classic "Timbaland" sound, as Timbo produced all the songs on the project. "It's been a while since I've been able to give the world some new music. I've spent a lot of time working on this project and I am just looking forward to giving my fans some dope sounds to close out the year," says the producer.
Perhaps the most exciting news about the project is that it will feature an unheard track from the late singer, Aaliyah.
Timbaland’s last solo album, Shock Value II was released in 2009. The super producer followed his critically acclaimed album by focusing on developing the Mosley Music Group roster, which includes young Chicago emcee Tink and V. Bozeman. This fall, Timbo released his first memoir, The Emperor of Sound.
Be on the lookout for music videos for some of the mixtape’s tracks “Get No Betta” featuring Mila J and "Servin" featuring Blaze, which they are currently shooting in Atlanta.
In January, the producer will embark on a 20 date club tour, performing his new music and classic hits. Download King Stays King on MyMixtapez.com for free Friday, December 25, and be sure to keep a look out for Timbo’s new LP, Textbook Timbo, coming in early 2016.
