Chicago’s “urban hymnist” Sir the Baptist drops the uniting visual "Wake Up", a powerful call-to-action and inspirational anthem dedicated to his hometown. Directed by Stokes Filmhouse and shot by Visual SZN, the clip features footage from the Bronzeville neighborhood where Sir grew up and is meant to showcase the city in a positive and transformative light.
Sir’s civil rights anthem "Raise Hell" served as the world's official introduction to his brand of socially-aware music.
He’s deeply invested in combatting racial injustice and police brutality plaguing our country, as well as the staggering rate of violent crime in his own city of Chicago.
"Wake Up" is a featured single off Sir's upcoming debut album, Pk: Preacher’s Kid coming sometime in 2016.
