An hour before the live airing of “Dancing With The Stars” tonight (Nov. 9th), Tamar Braxton was rushed to the hospital during rehearsals for pneumonia.
Her dancing partner Val Chmerkovskiy entered the stage by himself during the opening of the show, to which host Tom Bergeron announced the scary news (below). TMZ reported that Braxton had been sick for weeks. In place of her performance, the judges viewed a taping of Tamar and Val’s performance, to which they gave her a 22 out of 30.
However, an exhausted-looking Tamar made it back in time before the end of the show to perform her couple’s dance. Cameras captured the moment she exited a van with medical tape on her arm as she walked backstage to prepare for her performance. After her performance, a visibly exhausted Tamar listened to the judges give her a score of 27 out of 30. Not bad!
So far this week, she was saved from elimination.
With all Tamar is involved with (“DWTS”, “The Real” talk show, promoting her new album, Calling All Lovers, prepping for a tour with Mary J. Blige), it’s clear she’s working VERY hard and probably needs some rest.
Get well, Tae Tae!
