Nicki Minaj isn’t the only artist behind an upcoming television sitcom; Bruno Mars is getting in on the TV action, too.
According to Deadline, the popular singer-songwriter will team up with “Empire” executive producer Brian Grazer to create a pilot for a family, single-camera, music-based comedy, and NBC has issued the greenlight to film a pilot episode.
Mars and writer/music lover Prentice Penny (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) came up with the idea for the show, which is reportedly about a dysfunctional family from the Bronx and the hilarious stories that ensue when they take in their 10-year-old nephew. However, the show is not autobiographical and it's unclear if Bruno will be contributing any music.
Sounds interesting, indeed!
