To bury your offspring is unimaginable, but Bobby Brown is taking the death of his daughter even harder because he blames himself for her untimely demise.
According to Daily Mail Online, the singer feels he could have prevented it from going this far if only he had prodded her to go to rehab, much in the way Britney Spears’ dad, Jaime Spears, did for his pop star daughter.
A family source tells the publication, “Bobby has so much guilt that it is eating him up every day. He told me he should have insisted Krissy get help for her drug addiction, and he should have forced Nick Gordon to move out of her townhouse and leave her alone — legally, if necessary.”
The source says Bobby is aware BK’s drug problem stemmed from her upbringing in a drug and domestic abuse-infused household, and should have hunkered down on BK, especially after the death of her mother Whitney Houston.
The source says, “Bobby told me ‘I should have gone to court to get a judge to make Bobbi Kristina go to rehab and then become her guardian — like Britney Spears’ father did to save her. Bobby says he was her father no matter what age she was and he should have fought her or anyone else who stopped her from saving her from herself.”
It’s common to blame oneself in hindsight during grief, but hopefully Bobby can slowly accept and let go.
