Janet Jackson attended J. Cole's recent concert in L.A., revealing to her fans that she was having a girls night out, but now we can see that there was a deeper connection.
The music icon calls on the rap superstar for a remix of her comeback single, "No Sleeep," giving the tune a younger reach. On the soothing groove, Cole World delivers a rousing verse about connecting with a female.
According to Billboard, this version will appear on Janet's upcoming album, not the solo version, which is currently sitting at No. 5 on the Adult R&B chart.
This was a very smart and strategic move!
Jackson and Cole recorded the new tune in a Los Angeles recording studio two weeks ago, and they also shot a music video, which you can preview in the above image.
Janet Jackson's upcoming, yet untitled album is due out this fall.
