Tamar Braxton says she loves Rihanna, but she had a problem when the international pop star received a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album.
"I had an issue with Rihanna being nominated at the Grammys for Best R&B Album," Tamar told Power 105's Angie Martinez. "She doesn’t sing R&B music. She is a Pop star. You know what I'm saying? I had an issue with that a little bit."
To detract from any drama, she adds, "I love her though, glad she won," later adding, "This is facts."
In response to what makes a song R&B, Tamar countered, "It's called Rhythm and Blues. Ribs and Barbecue. It's not pop, pop, pop…It's soulful. That's R&B music."
She adds that Beyonce would be a better choice for R&B nominations.
Tamar is currently promoting her new album, Calling All Lovers, slated for release on September 11th.
