It’s been a week since Bobbi Kristina’s family filed a civil lawsuit against the 22-year-old’s boyfriend Nick Gordon for “causing, among other things, substantial bodily harm to Brown."
Now Alex Reid, a friend of BK, has stepped forth to speak about what she knows about the toxic relationship Bobbi endured while with Gordon. Speaking to E! News, Reid said Bobbi Kristina would often call her in a panic while hiding in her mother’s closet after being attacked by Gordon.
“She was sobbing. Nick had hit her, and she was scared,” Reid said in the interview. “She was very upset. She didn’t know what to do. It was as if, she didn’t have anyone else to turn to. It was heartbreaking.” She continued, “He was known to choke her, throw her into walls, punch her in the jaw. Just unbelievable stuff.”
Alex says the reason she’s coming forth now is because BK didn’t want her to tell anyone at the time, but now as her friend lays on her deathbed in a Georgia hospice, she feels compelled to be her “voice.”
"I love her. I would never have betrayed her and spoken out before now,"says Alex through tears. "But as she lies there, I feel there is no one else to speak on her behalf. I feel like I have to be a voice for her now." She hopes her testimony will help the criminal investigation against Gordon. “There are things that I know that no one else does,” she shared. “And I hope that by speaking out I can help the investigation in some way.”
