During Sunday night's BET Awards, music icon Janet Jackson received the first-ever "Ultimate Icon: Music Dance Visual Award" during the 15th annual show at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
After a beautiful intro from her long-time producers, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Tinashe, Jason Derulo and Ciara hit the stage for a special dance tribute. Tinashe led the the high-impact set by recreating the "Pleasure Principle" dance routine. Derulo followed with "All for You," and Ciara blessed "If" and "Rhythm Nation," as the three closed the set together.
Following the tribute, Mrs. Jackson appeared on stage to receive her award. During her acceptance speech, she thanked everyone who has supported her over the years including her husband and parents.
Mrs. Jackson will kick off her "Unbreakable World Tour" on Aug. 31, and her comeback album is slated to arrive this fall.
