Get ready to hear more about Bibi Bourelly! She's the loose-lipped, no-holds-bar 20-year-old credited for penning Rihanna's new single, "Bitch Better Have My Money" as well as "Higher," an eye-opening ballad from RiRi's upcoming R8 album.
The rebellious young talent unwraps a song of her own entitled "Riot," an acoustic guitar-driven, real-to-life- song about fighting for what you want.
What's evident on the track is Bibi's raspy and emotional delivery, coupled with powerful lyrics. Plain and simple…This chick is baddd!
"I want to give people the truth because a lot of people aren't so authentic," she told FADER. "It's how I felt in school, fighting against my parents, fight to be considered a real musician. For me, it's about fighting to be heard and to be recognized."
It's currently unclear when Bibi will drop her own project as she rides the waves into stardom. "You never really know with me what's coming next because I just do shit when I feel like doing it," she says. But, she let it be known that "It's going to be a really f*cking crazy journey."
By the way, as far as those rumors that Rihanna may have jacked "Bitch Better Have My Money" from another artist — Bibi quickly shut that down.
She says, "It's so ridiculous to me," adding, "It shouldn't even be talked about. I've been writing since I was a kid, I finish songs in a couple hours. I shouldn't have to argue with that, it's not a realistic accusation."
Bibi might just be the bomb!
