Chris Brown re-ignites some fire under his latest album, X, by releasing a music video for his Kendrick Lamar-assisted song, “Autumn Leaves.” In the visual, directed by Brown’s go to director Colin Tilley, The Grammy winner plays a warrior, who longs for something special, and it looks to be a special lady, who is played by Karrueche Tran. Kendrick does not appear in the clip.
“People automatically assumed [that] with me and Kendrick Lamar, if we actually collaborated, it's gonna be a club joint, but for me, I always like to change and switch the envelope," Brown told MTV News previously about the collaboration.
The singer says the song is a running metaphor for working hard for your goals, and even when it seems like it’s all for naught, faith is still there. "It's basically saying [that] you put in so much to get so little. Whether it be in relationships or just in life, you work hard for something all the time and get so little, but you still hold on, like the last leaf in autumn."
Brown is also readying his joint project, Fan of a Fan 2, with Tyga.
