Music’s most powerful couple will have to continue their California house search.
Beyoncé and Jay Z were vying for an $85 million Beverly Hills mansion, built by billionaire handbag mogul Bruce Makowsky, but according to TMZ, a billionaire outbid them for the decked out pad.
Swedish video game programmer Markus Persson, the billionaire behind video game Minecraft, reportedly forked over $70 million in cash for the beautiful 23,000-square-foot mansion, which has a panoramic view of downtown Los Angeles, eight bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, a curved infinity pool, a 24-seat movie theater, a wine cellar, 16-car garage, and its very own candy cave.
Bey and Jay visited the home several times before their “On The Run” tour.
Persson, 35, sold his company to Microsoft in September (2014) for $2.5 billion. Minecraft has become a cult favorite, and is currently being developed into a live-action film by Warner Bros.
