In the clip, directed by Larenz Tate, the sassy singer-songwriter drops her cheating beau (King Bach) after catching him wining and dining another chick, and finds comfort in the arms of another man (played by actor Lance Gross).
"It’s time to take the power back for all the injustices in our lives – from Mike Brown to the kidnapping of innocent Nigerian girls and all the demoralizing issues in between,” states Antonique. “This is an anthem for people worldwide that demand respect. Hold Up Wait A Minute!”
“Hold Up Wait A Minute (Woo Woo)” will appear on Antonique’s upcoming album, Love Is Everything, slated to arrive early 2015.
“It’s a love and R&B album, and also very empowering,” she adds. “I’ve experienced quite a few things and gained a little bit of wisdom. I’m trying to drop some jewels for both women and men as we navigate our way through life.”
Antonique is most notably known for her portrayal of Faith Evans in 'Notorious'. She also appeared as Mimi in 'Rent' on Broadway.
