Chris Brown's pockets were barely scratched after raking over chump change to settle two lawsuits.
The first involved the victim Brown punched in Washington, D.C. last October (2013), which he walked away from without any jail time, fines or probation after his lawyer Mark Geragos brokered a plea deal for a guilty plea of simple assault and time served. According to TMZ, the Grammy winner settled the civil suit for around $100,000, money he can make back by doing one feature collaboration.
In the second case, Frank Ocean’s cousin Malcolm Ausbon sued Brown and 24-Hour Fitness for $3 million, claiming the “Loyal” singer and his friends beat him senseless during a basketball game. He states he was taken to the ER to be treated for injuries to his face, head, neck, back, legs and ribs and cites suffering from embarrassment, fear, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder.
Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos called the lawsuit an “extortion” attempt, and layer filed a countersuit for his client. TMZ reports that this case settled for under $20K.
